Kayla and Jasmine make Whole Grain Reduced Sugar Peanut Butter Cookies


Step 1: Gather Ingredients.
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Natural Peanut Butter
1/2 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 Zero-Calorie Sweetener
1/2 Cup Margarine, softened
 1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour
3/4 Cups Whole Grain Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon of Sugar

Step 2: Add whole grain flour to a bowl.

Step 3: Add all-purpose flour.

Step 4: Mix.

Step 5: Add peanut butter.

Step 6: Add butter.

Step 7: Mix.

Step 8: Add sugar substitute.

Step 9: Add baking powder.

Step 10: Add baking soda.

Step 11: Add packed brown sugar.

Step 12: Mix.

Step 13: Wipe from sides of bowl.

Step 14: Add egg.

Step 15: Add vanilla.

Step 16: Mix.


Step 17: Add flour mix.

Step 18: Mix as much as possible with the electric mixer.



Step 19: Finish mixing by hand if needed.

Step 20: Get out foil of cookie sheet.

Step 21: Using a spoon, drop dough onto sheet.

Step 22: Repeat, spacing the dough about 2 inches apart.

Step 23: Preheat oven to 375 °.

Step 24: Put 1 teaspoon of sugar in a small bowl.

Step 25: Sprinkle the tops of the cookies with sugar.

Step 26: Press a fork into the tops of the cookies making a crisscross pattern.

Step 27: Put in oven.

Step 28: Set the timer for 7 minutes.

Step 29: Check for doneness.  They are done when the bottoms of the cookies brown a little.

Step 30: Remove from oven.

Step 31: Set on a wire rack to cool.

Step 32: Enjoy!
